We are thrilled that our Technical Operations Manager Alain Richardt has made the final three, from 18 entries, in the "Endace Young Achiever Award."

This section of the Hi-Tech awards is open to people aged 27 or younger. At age 24 Alain has been instrumental in the development of SalesLink WebConnect, an online web portal used daily by senior management teams at our key sites.

I. T. Link has successfully installed SalesLink Ex into a large Malaysian retail merchandising company. In the first week of January, over 200 PDA devices were depoloyed to a market leader specialising in retail effectiveness. Their General Manager has reported an increased service level as a direct result of being able to get up to the minute stock information at an individual store level. “The advantages of having SalesLink Ex is so amazing that it automatically puts us at the lead in terms of competition and speed to market.”

SalesLink Mobile adds another accounting system to the integration list with Xero online Accounting software. The SalesLink Mobile and Xero solution is different from traditional accounting integration as Xero is an online web based system.

The result is a seamless end to end invoicing solution for mobile business.

Delmaine has implemented their 40 Strong Sales Force with Motorlala MC35 and MC70 hardware for use within their sales and agent network. Pinto Juice, a division of Mainland Poultry have deployed Treo 700 Smartphones to their Route van delivery team.

I.T. Link Customers feature well at the 2007 Westpac Franchise Awards.
New Zealand's wealthiest business award ceremony showcases the best franchises in New Zealand.

At this years' final, held in November, approximately 30 entrants were whittled down to two finalists for each of the six category sections. Two of I.T. Link's customers made the short list.

Carpet One, competing for the first time, made the Retail Franchise of the Year shortlist. Paramount Services Auckland made the Business Services Franchisee of the Year shortlist. Carpet One won their section , and as a section winner , then went forward as one of the six category winners into the overall supreme award.

The winner of the 'Supreme Award Westpac Franchise System of the Year" was awarded to Carpet One. Head judge from the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation, CEO Mike Watson commented " In a very competitive market Carpet One has focused on the innovative use of technology to meet customer needs, drive greater efficiency into its system and deliver far greater profit to the bottom line of both franchisees and the system itself. The company is a very worthy winner of both the Best Retail Franchise System award and the supreme title of Franchise System of the Year award."

Franchise Association General Manager, Peter Fergusson, just back from three international conferences said " New Zealand needs to understand its standing and capability in the world market. Comparisons at the conferences I recently attended showed that our franchise concepts and systems are world class."
