Simply Squeezed has 44 distributors delivering chilled juices to supermarket, route and food service channels. By 2001 their paper based system wasn't going to allow Simply Squeezed to sustain the growth they were achieving.
Solution
SalesLink Mobile is utilised by the franchisees who print tax invoices from their trucks. Throughout New Zealand just under 1000 invoices are being processed on a daily basis and this number is growing. At Simply Squeezed's head office the invoices are turned from sales orders into invoices in their Exonet Accounting Software program.

Introduction

Simply Squeezed produces and distributes fresh and chilled juices throughout New Zealand, was established in 1988 and is based at Bayview in Hawkes Bay. Manufacturing, bottling and distributing throughout all regions in New Zealand is an intensive business where the dictum of 'fresh is best' rules.


Company Background
Building distribution from their Hawkes Bay base has seen Simply Squeezed grow to leadership within the New Zealand marketplace where they now hold 65% market share within the Supermarket chilled juice category.

Business Operation

Simply Squeezed run a distribution network of 44 distributors holding exclusive territories and servicing supermarket, route and food service channels. Originally using a paper based system and in a growth phase, in 2001, Steve Brownlie the Managing Director of Simply Squeezed sought a solution that allowed printing of invoices on site and transfer of data back to their head office.Selling products with a 30 day shelf life required supply chain efficiencies.

Simply Squeezed outgrew its accounting software and in 2004 it changed with the stipulation that whatever package chosen, had to interface with SalesLink Mobile.

SalesLink is a great solution for Simply Squeezed but it hasn't always been smooth sailing.

Processing of monthly transactions has grown to over 18,000 invoices per month and this put SalesLink's back office SalesLink Server under pressure. Communications for approximately 0.05% were failing. I.T. Link and Simply Squeezed worked closely monitoring the hardware, the franchisee skillset and the back office operation.

Through a combination of reducing user errors and archiving the data held in SalesLink Server on a more regular basis, the operation at Simply Squeezed now runs in a smooth and well organised manner.

With the addition of more products to their offering Simply Squeezed can utilise up to the minute sales data to drive their production facility at optimum efficiency rates. This drives enough quantity of each product to ensure out of stocks are minimised and fresh Simply Squeezed products are hitting the retailer's shelves in premium condition.
